  • → State changed from “new” to “open”

  "New" I listed as an open ticket state in your projects preferences, so when you just search for "Open", it lists all new and open tickets. We should probably clarify that in our documentation now that the area has been updated with custom ticket states.

  Try this:

  state:open not-state:new

  Yeah, I thought it was searching for the value of the 'state' and not

  being smart about it.

  That makes perfect sense, but is a bit unexpected at first. Maybe if

  the 'open' ticket state was named something like 'accepted' then

  searching for open tickets bringing up accepted and new wouldn't be as

  surprising.

  I'll definitely bring it up to the table when we get back to some brainstorming stuff next week. I see your point. Thanks for the input and sorry for the confusion.
