Open source project not chosen when creating a new project

Reported by James Chan | June 30th, 2008 @ 06:49 AM

When creating a new project, choose "Open Source Project". After the project is created, try to Edit the Project, will find that the "Open Source Project" is not selected thus no one can access this project.

James, I'm sorry for your issue. I'm currently unable to recreate your issue though.

When I create a new project with Open Source option, and save it, then go to "Edit Project" I see this:

    imagetic - Test Project 01

and your selector is missing? and you are unable to add members?

    Hey Will,

This happened on both my machine (Leopard 10.5.2) and my friends (Ubuntu or windows I guess). We found this when we want to visit each other's project. Adding members does work but the Open Source Project is not selected right after creation of new project.

I tried one more time. Get same result. BTW, my account is a free plan.

I have the same issue. When I create projects under "Open Source", it gets created as a protected project.

Here's a screenshot of what I see immediately after creating an Open Source project...

I'm using Firefox 3 on Leopard

I'm using Firefox 3 on Leopard 10.5.4, and no problems with any of it here. I'll have to get Rick to take a look under the hood, as it may be account specific to you all.

Are you able to edit the project and set it as an OSS project?

Very easy to repro. Just do it from scratch:

    • clear your lighthouseapp.com cookies
    • go to lighthouseapp.com
    • sign up for a free account
    • confirm your email
    • create your first project
    • choose "Open Source Project"
    • submit
    • click edit project
    • you get this...
