Multi-word tags?

Reported by Chris Drackett | July 31st, 2007 @ 08:13 PM

It would be nice to be able to have tags with multiple words, using commas as a delimiter.

It actually supports both. I may have to figure out a better way to display it though. For instance, I can add "multi word" to this ticket and it'll show it as "multi word tags".

I may just have to make a decision, commas or quotes. Personally, I like commas, it's more like the way my english teacher taught me. But, some will argue that it should be closer to how something like Flickr tags items.

Ok, so I used quotes (not a big deal, commas or quotes) but now if I click on the ticket, or try and search for it, i get an empty set. Try clicking on "multi word" next to this ticket and you'll get zero results.

Oh right, my changes are still only on stable. There are some changes to it that I hope to deploy later today or tomorrow as soon as I get some more of the tagging kinks worked out.

I've fixed the new tagging feature to deal with multi-word tags properly. Also, I overhauled the keyword search so that you can use multiple tagged AND not-tagged keywords. Each one is supposed to be for one tag only, which may cause issues if you were filtering on multiple tags.

    OLD - tagged:ruby,rails

    NEW - tagged:ruby tagged:rails not-tagged:camping

Okay, I think this works now.. I had some url encoding issues, but those have been sorted out...
