drag/drop assignment of tickets to milestones
Reported by David Chelimsky | October 17th, 2007 @ 07:23 AM | in Feature Requests
Trying to figure out how to use lighthouse for an Agile project (user stories/iterations). I've started by creating a milestone for each iteration and expressing the stories in tickets tagged as stories. Seems to work fine with one exception - after deciding which stories will be in an iteration, I have to open up each story, one at a time, and assign it to the milestone.
Now when I view tickets, I can see a list of milestones in the upper right. I'd LOVE to be able to just drag the tickets I want over a milestone to assign them.

Thought about that, but I'm not quite sure how obvious that would be. That's really up to justin though, he's in charge of UX issues. I think it'd be pretty slick too...

You could make it obvious by adding a text link after the milestone's name that reads "Assign Tickets". When you click it, it reveals a list of the tickets already assigned with a (-) link (or icon) next to each one and a message that says "Drag a ticket number here to assign to this milestone". Then if you click on the (-) it removes the ticket from that milestone. Sa-weeeet!

i kind of think that some sort of mass edit milestone ticket assignment system would be pretty cool.
