Can't create a user via OpenID

The only way to create an account is with using a password. To log in with OpenID, a user has to create an account first. This negates most of the benefit of OpenID. It would be much more convenient to create an account based on an OpenID and not a password. Ideally, this would have the same interface as logging in via OpenID, but would then ask for extra information (which is done through the OpenID protocol) and create the account.
