Disable URL truncation when URL is in code blocks (@@)
Reported by Jim Dalton | July 1st, 2008 @ 12:10 PM
In content blocks that use lighthouse's modified Textile, all strings that are recognized as URLs are converted automatically to hyperlinks and are truncated.
This presents a real problem when attempting to use Lighthouse for documentation. There are several places where we are displaying URLs in code blocks (i.e. between \@...\@ or between \@\@\@...\@\@\@ for long blocks) but the URLs are being truncated. This is making it difficult to document the API for our clients, since they need to actually see the URL.
My recommendation would be to disable URL truncating and hyperlinking when the text is in a code block (including
).Otherwise, if there was a way to escape this behavior that would be great. (If there is a way that I don't know about, I'd love to hear it!)

Yeah, I agree. We're going to be adding markdown soon, so we should be able to slip this in with that update.
